ORIEL is an independent art studio based in Hackney, East London, creating artwork for people who want something a little different on their walls.

It started with a simple frustration: finding great-looking art that felt original, well designed and actually affordable was harder than it should be. Too often, the same images appeared everywhere — and anything more distinctive came with a huge price tag.

So we decided to do something about it.

Every piece in the ORIEL collection is designed exclusively for our site, with a focus on bold ideas, considered design and artwork that feels good to live with. No mass-produced catalogue. No chasing whatever happens to be trending. Just art we genuinely want on our own walls.

Meet Mike.

ORIEL was founded by Mike in Hackney, East London in 2026. What started as a passion for doodling has morphed into an ever-growing collection of original art.

Mike designs every piece himself, from the first idea through to the finished artwork. The aim is simple: to create things that look great on your walls, feel genuinely different, and don't cost an arm and a leg.

We also want ORIEL to do some good beyond our walls. It's a harsh world out there and every business should do their bit.

As the studio grows, a portion of our profits goes towards initiatives supporting people and communities who need it most. It's a small part of what we do, but an important one.
